While a rose is a rose is a rose is a rose, this Rose is so much more! Found running at large as a stray on August 16th, Rose was taken to the Blount County Animal Center shelter in Tennessee. The one-year-old Bully Breed mix tested heartworm positive, which greatly limited her adoption or rescue possibilities.

On September 12th, Kristin Baksa, the shelter’s rescue coordinator, sought RADAR’s help for Rose. Heartworm treatment would better enable her to be rescued or adopted and get on with the good life she deserves. We agreed to assist, and on September 19th Bella had her heartworm treatment done.

“This may be the sweetest girl ever!” Kristin shared with us. “She is calm and friendly with everyone, including our canine residents. This girl just seems grateful for a bed, food and daily walks.” We were also told that Rose is “a big goofy puppy with a whole lot of love to give!” To see more photos of Rose, click here.

RADAR paid $250 towards the heartworm treatment costs for Rose.
