Sable and her pup Beamer were found wandering inside a school, perhaps hoping to learn what a dog has to do to find some help! They were taken to the Blount County Animal Shelter in Tennessee on October 23rd. Sable’s puppy was adopted but Sable herself, a two-year-old Parson Russell Terrier, needed some extra help. She was heartworm positive, and her heartworms would need to be treated before she could find an adopter or rescue.

On November 5th, Kristin Baksa, the shelter’s rescue coordinator, reached out to RADAR. Could we assist with Sable’s heartworm treatment costs? We poetically replied, “We were able to help Sable!” She completed her heartworm treatment on November 20th.

“Sable is a sweetie,” Kristin told us. “She’s good with other dogs and loves people. She has that Parson Russell personality and is very cute!“ At only around 15 pounds, Sable is now looking for that stable home she dreams of! Click here to view more photos of Sable.

RADAR paid all of Sable’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $228.
