The lovely Miss Sadie is a charming canine lady! This approximately two-year-old Labrador Retriever mix arrived at the Mercer County Animal Shelter in West Virginia on November 15th. Under the shelter’s policy, after 10 days a dog is subject to being euthanized at anytime. With no adopter or rescue interest, Sadie was increasingly at risk.

On December 5th, Sadie was listed as urgent. As an incentive for a rescue to take Sadie, on December 9th, RADAR provided an offer to assist with her vet care costs. On December 14th, with WV Pet in West Virginia agreeing to take Sadie, she was safe at last!

Sadie had her initial vetting and spaying done on January 9th. Sheri Sanders of WV Pet told us this about Sadie: “She is one super sweet girl. She had her first training session with our trainer and picked things up very quickly. Sadie wants to be with a human all the time!” Click here to see more photos of Sadie.

RADAR paid all of Sadie’s initial vetting and spaying costs totaling $193.

UPDATE! Sadie has been adopted!
