When you read Sally’s sad saga, you will want to rally for Sally! This three-year-old Golden Retriever mix arrived at the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina on April 7th. Earlier that same day, Sally had been tossed out of a car and left abandoned on the side of the road. Fortunately, a good samaritan came along and helped Sally. Unfortunately, Sally tested heartworm positive.
The good news is that One Life to Live Rescue and Adoption in Pennsylvania offered to take Sally! The bad news is that she first needed to get her heartworm treatment done and have the costs covered. On April 19th, RADAR agreed to cover all of Sally’s heartworm treatment costs, sealing the deal for her rescue!
She received her heartworm treatment on May 28th. Here’s what we’ve been told about Sally: “She is very sweet, wiggly and social. With her gorgeous good looks and sunny disposition, she will be a great addition to some lucky family!” To see more photos of Sally, click here.
RADAR paid all of Sally’s heartworm treatment costs totaling $213.
