It ’twas the night before Christmas when Sasha ended her nearly five-month stint at the shelter. A three-year-old Bully Breed mix, Sasha arrived at the Orangeburg County Animal Shelter in South Carolina on August 2nd. She had been found as a stray at a fast-food restaurant. Sasha’s stay at the shelter was likely made all the longer because of her breed mix and being heartworm positive.

On December 23rd, the Friends of Orangeburg County Animal Control organization contacted RADAR for help with Sasha. If we could provide assistance for the cost of her heartworm treatment, the Friends group would pull her. We agreed to assist, and Sasha received her heartworm treatment on January 30th.

We were told that Sasha is super sweet, loves everyone, and that she is friendly with both dogs and cats. Fortunately, an amazing family has adopted her! “She is the sweetest dog ever,” her adopter said “We love her and are so glad we got her!” To see more photos of Sasha, click here.

RADAR paid $250 towards the heartworm treatment costs for Sasha.
