Say hello to Shiloh! Estimated to be 14 years old, this Beagle mix arrived at the Tucker County Animal Shelter in West Virginia on April 23rd. Shiloh was picked up by animal control as part of a neglect investigation. Poor Shiloh had been chained outside all of her long life. Shelter manager Cathy Parsons was particularly drawn to Shiloh since Bo, her own 15-year-old Beagle, had had just died earlier in April on Cathy’s birthday.
As a result of two large hoarding cases last summer, Cathy’s small vet budget was depleted in the opening weeks of the fiscal year that started last July. When Cathy asked for RADAR’s help to cover Shiloh’s vet costs, we agreed at once.
Shiloh had her initial vetting and spaying done on May 9th. The vet also provided dental treatment at no cost. Cathy shared this with us about Shiloh: “To say that she is humble is putting it mildly. I just adore her! Her personality is awesome. Shiloh is such a dear and sweet soul!” To view more photos of Shiloh, click here.
RADAR paid all of Shiloh’s initial vetting and spaying costs totaling $147.
