Sierra

No, this Sierra was not in Nevada, but in the Coweta County Animal Control shelter in Georgia. She was brought there as a stray. Despite being a happy girl and smiling at everyone, this pretty Yellow Lab mix was doomed at the shelter because of her age. An eight-year-old dog is very much an at-risk dog in a high-kill shelter. With this rescue, Sierra can definitely smile now!

Sierra is one of 20 dogs who took part in the incredible “Underdogs Railroad Shuffle Off to Buffalo” transport on December 8th and 9th. The dogs were pulled from a high-kill shelter in Georgia, where volunteers got them vetted and provided temporary boarding. RADAR paid for the dogs’ transport to Buffalo, New York, where LotsaDogs Rescue received them and took them on the last leg of their long journey to Whitby, Ontario.
