Silver was just looking for her silver lining! This sweet three-year-old Pit Bull, also known as Baby, arrived at the Warren County Animal shelter in North Carolina on October 2nd with a few things that were putting her at risk. With the combination of being a Bully Breed, testing positive for heartworms, and needing vet care for an injured nose, Silver’s chances of being saved were small.
On October 23rd, RADAR received a request from Road Home Rescue in North Carolina regarding Silver. Suruluna Animal Rescue in New York was interested in taking Silver, provided that her heartworm treatment was covered. If we could cover Silver’s heartworm treatment costs, Road Home Rescue would facilitate pulling her from the shelter on behalf of Suruluna Animal Rescue. We agreed, and Silver was safe! Silver was transported shortly after to New York, and received her treatment on December 16th and 17th.
Silver has been described as loyal, friendly, and affectionate. She is a little shy sometimes, but she is also very sweet. She is playful and she enjoys going for walks and hanging out in the yard. She also enjoys giving and receiving love, and she gets along well with other dogs. Click here to view more photos of Silver.
RADAR paid all of Silver’s spaying, x-ray and heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $238.
UPDATE! All funds for Silver have been raised! Thank you!
