Snow White

It’s likely that this Snow White birthed and tended to a litter of dwarfs (perhaps even seven of them!) at some point in her life. But she did not arrive with any dwarf dogs when animal control picked her up on November 21st and took her to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina. Snow White is one to two years old and a Bully Breed blend.  Finding a Prince Charming in the form of a rescue to save her was all the more a fantasy because of both her breed mix and having heartworms.

On February 19th, after nearly three long months of living in limbo at the shelter, Virginia Paws for Pits offered to take Snow White, but only if her costly heartworm treatment costs could be covered. Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, turned right to RADAR for help, and we agreed! Snow White received her heartworm treatment on February 27th.

We were told this about Snow White: “She loves everyone she meets and never tires of making new friends, either people or dogs, or even cats. A skilled, hip-swiveling lady, Snow White is polite, gentle natured and very patient. She is a social, happy lady. A classic favorite the world over, this Snow White is guaranteed to make all of your dreams come true!” Click here to view more photos of Snow White.

RADAR paid all of Snow White’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $298.
