There’s so much to adore about Theodore! On February 8th, two-year-old Theodore was surrendered to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina. The reason given was that this Bully Breed mix kept getting out. Some might say by his looks that he’s all head with stubby legs, but the shelter staff says he’s really all heart as he loves everyone he meets. Unfortunately, his heart also had heartworms.
On April 10th, Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, asked for our help with Theodore. One Life to Live Pet Rescue and Adoption in Pennsylvania stepped up to take him. The only catch was his costly heartworm treatment. Counting on the help of our loyal supporters, we agreed to assist. Theodore received his heartworm treatment on April 11th.
“Solid, sturdy and a big mush!” was how the shelter staff described Theodore. “We love him and you will as well! This happy, super-friendly fellow is strong and muscular, and just wants to have a good time! Sporting a steady wagging tail and smile, Theodore adores being the center of attention and jiggles with great excitement when he sees folks coming his way!” To see more photos of Theodore, click here.
RADAR paid all $322 of the heartworm treatment costs for Theodore.
