Tid Bid

Now for the tooth, the whole tooth and nothing but the tooth about Tid Bid! Approximately 16 years old, Tid Bid is a Chihuahua mix who arrived at the Animal Protection Society of Caswell County shelter in North Carolina on May 5th. Tid Bid was found as a stray. Even though he was wearing a collar, sadly, nobody came looking for this little guy. He only had a few teeth left, and they were all badly infected. The weeks passed with no adopter or rescue interest in Tid Bid.

On June 13th, Cathy Threadingham of Hope Animal Rescue contacted RADAR about Tid Bid’s plight. The rescue was interested in pulling him, but needed some financial assistance. RADAR offered to help, and Cathy got to work trying to find a foster. She found a foster, and on June 16th, Hope Animal Rescue in North Carolina pulled Tid Bid from the shelter! The very next day he received his dental care treatment, which included surgery to remove his few remaining teeth, which were all broken and severely infected.

Cathy told us this about Tid Bid: “Other than his dental issues, which have now been addressed, he’s pretty healthy. He is heartworm negative. Hopefully he has at least a few more years left. While Tid Bid is surprisingly perky in bursts, they just don’t last long! Thank you so much for RADAR’s help. Tid Bid was breaking my heart, but I knew we couldn’t help without assistance. He is so worth it (as they all are), and deserves to spend his remaining years in a home with love.” To view more photos of Tid Bid, click here.

RADAR paid all of Tid Bid’s dental surgery and treatment costs of $297.
