Tom and his brother Sawyer had quite an adventure, but they would be very happy to settle down in forever homes. These brothers were surrendered to the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina on May 10th. While Sawyer was sprung quickly, Tom still needed rescue and missed his best buddy. Four-year-old Tom, a Lab mix, is a friendly, good-natured guy, but he had heartworms.

Good Shepherd K9 Rescue in New York was willing to take Tom, but he had to be treated for heartworms first. Susan Blakeney, RADAR’s liaison at the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue reached out to us to see if we could help. We agreed to fund his heartworm treatment, which was done on June 20th.

Tom is a cute guy with a great smile. He enjoys playing with other dogs and greets strangers nicely. At a mid-sized 38 pounds, Tom would make a great family dog, especially if he had another buddy to spend time with. To see more photos of Tom, click here.

RADAR paid all $206 of the heartworm treatment costs for Tom.
