As the old joke goes, one day a lady went for a tramp in the woods, but he got away! Well, this Tramp lost his way and was found as a stray on September 19th. The two-year-old German Shepherd was taken to the Chesterfield County Animal Services shelter in South Carolina. According to the shelter staff, everyone who meets Tramp says that he’s a wonderful dog and he loves everyone he meets! Unfortunately, Tramp had heartworms.
On September 28th, Melissa Bielawski with Ollie’s Angels Animal Rescue in New York contacted RADAR. Melissa was interested in pulling Tramp if we would assist with his heartworm treatment costs. “He deserves a chance to live a long life in a good home,” Melissa said. “If we can get financial help to treat his heartworms we will be able to give him a great life.” We agreed to help and Tramp had his heartworm treatment done on October 31st.
“This dog is darn near perfect!” his foster mom told us. “I can’t believe how easy he is. He’s adjusting and learning, and is just such a happy boy. He has every trait you could want in a dog. He’s really a pet owner’s jackpot!” Click here to view more photos of Tramp.
RADAR paid $250 towards Tramp’s heartworm treatment costs.
