Where We Help

RADAR focuses on helping dogs in rural county shelters in Appalachia and the Southeast. Under certain circumstances, we may consider rural counties in the states surrounding the map below. Our definition of rural is a county that has a population density of 250 people or less per square mile.

Below is a map of the region we help (direct links are below the map). Dogs we assist must be from shelters in these states and eligible counties. Please click on the state abbreviation to see a list of counties in those states that are eligible for RADAR assistance. Please note – we cannot offer assistance for every request that we receive. We also suggest that you take a look at our Application Qualifications and Requirements.
