It’s the winsome Winnie! This four-year-old Bully Breed blend was found running loose and taken to the Blount County Animal Center shelter in Tennessee on June 22nd. Winnie looked like she previously had a few litters of puppies. One thing Winnie had now was heartworms.

On July 9th, Kristin Baksa, the shelter’s rescue coordinator, requested RADAR’s help with the cost of Winnie’s heartworm treatment. “We will be able to find her the home or rescue she deserves once her heartworm treatment is completed,” Kristin told us. We agreed to assist. Winnie received her heartworm treatment on July 13th.

“Winnie is a wonderful and delightful girl!” Kristin said. “She is friendly, quiet and calm, despite the stressful shelter environment. Winnie has a beautiful temperament and gets along well with people and other dogs.” To view more photos of Winnie, click here.

RADAR paid all $286 of the heartworm treatment costs for Winnie.
