This is Wonton. While she’s definitely as cute as a dumpling, she’s actually a three-year-old Bully Breed mix who ended up at the Mary Ann Morris Animal Society (MAMAS) shelter in rural Bamberg County in South Carolina on July 3rd. She was brought in along with two other dogs by law enforcement after being abandoned when their family moved away. Wonton was heartworm positive, and she would need treatment in order to get a second chance at a happy life.

On August 2nd, Ruthie Rish with MAMAS contacted RADAR about Wonton. “She is the first of this threesome to get a chance to be rescued,” Ruthie said, “but she first needs to get her heartworm treatment. Fortunately, the other dogs were heartworm negative!” We agreed to assist to seal the deal for Wonton’s rescue.

Wonton received her heartworm treatment on August 8th. “Wonton is a sweet and very adoptable little girl,” Ruthie shared with us. Her rescue says that Wonton “is super friendly and so loving. She seems very playful. She already know how to sit and seems very obedient and cute as a button!!” Click here to view more photos of Wonton.

RADAR paid all of Wonton’s heartworm treatment costs, which totaled $190.
