She’s a Corgi! She’s a Feist! She’s a Dachshund! She’s Zoe! Only two-years old and weighing 20 lbs., Zoe arrived as a stray at the Darlington County Humane Society shelter in South Carolina on October 29th. As cute as she is, Zoe had no takers at the shelter. Testing heartworm positive did not help her chances of getting rescued.

Through the efforts of the volunteers with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue, the Annapolis Dog Rescue in Maryland agreed to take Zoe if her heartworm treatment costs could be covered.

Susan Blakeney, a dedicated volunteer with the Darlington County Humane Society Rescue and their liaison to RADAR, asked once more for our assistance, and how could we resist? RADAR committed to covering Zoe’s heartworm treatment cost.

Susan had this to share with us about Zoe, “She is terrific and easy going with other dogs. Zoe is bubbly, playful and a huge fan of belly rubs! Everyone adores her.” To view more photos of Zoe (taken by Susan), click here.

Zoe had heartworm treatment done on January 24th. Her transport to the Annapolis Dog Rescue will take place in February.

RADAR has paid for all of Zoe’s $132 heartworm treatment cost.

UPDATE! Zoe has been adopted!
